One player who has been on Celtic’s radar has recently become available according to rumours. Could he make the move to Parkhead?

Celtic have been keeping an eye on Martin Boyle since January and Neil Lennon has worked with him in the past and would do it again. Per The Daily Record, Hibernian may have to sell Boyle on to make ends meet and now a number of clubs are vying for the talented player.

Hibernian are looking to sell Boyle in an attempt to raise funds for the coming season, the team has been struggling financially for a time and could do with the £3 million injection. They have come to different arrangements with their players, wage deferments to be specific, sending players away would double as an extra pile of cash and less wages to pay.

Boyle’s Hibernian teammates are going for a steal, rumors are circulating that Florian Kamberi could go for just £150,000, and goalkeeper Ofir Marciano may also be leaving for a reduced rate. The Australian has attracted the attention of Huddersfield Town and Stoke City, but the biggest name that has allegedly showed interest last January is Celtic F.C. Neil Lennon managed the winger at Hibernian and would like to get the chance to work with him again in the future.

Now it seems that the £3 million that Hibernian wanted for him in May might be greatly reduced if the price tags on Boyle’s teammates are anything to go by. Marian Shved seems to be on his way out after a short spell with The Bhoys, Lennon might be looking to bring Boyle into the mix and pair him up with James Forest.

He joined Hibernian as a full time member in 2015 after playing for the Scottish club on loan for a season. He put together 28 goals in 131 appearances for the team. He can play on the right wing and he can also play well as a forward, any team would be lucky to have such a dexterous asset in their tool box.

His contract is up in less than a year, and if Lennon likes him that much we might see the Aussie winger in green and white once the season starts.
