One Celtic has just made a vow to all fans and teammates ahead of the club’s historic 10-in-a-row season.

One Celtic star insists that next season will be one of his best. Despite an injury marred 2019/20 campaign, Israeli Hatem Abd Elhamed, the star in question, feels like he is fully poised to make a massive impact on the club next season.

Elhamed was brought in last summer in order to solidify the right-back position. When he saw time on the pitch the results were promising. However, there always seemed to be some type of injury or illness that kept the Israeli from being a fully productive member of the squad last season.

In Elhamed’s absence Jeremie Frimpong was given a chance to shine and he took that opportunity and flourished it. Despite Frimpong’s massive success, Elhamed is still the feature right-back. But now the club has an electric option in case Elhamed has a repeat. All of this is surely on Elhamed’s mind which may have prompted him to make a vow for the upcoming season.

Speaking with the Daily Record, here is what the Israeli right-back had to say:

"“Getting injured in the Lazio game was a frustrating moment for me, especially after a very good game. I was confident that I would keep going from there and continue to achieve my goal, but that injury stopped me for more than four months.“The Lazio game was a special night, though, especially with the Celtic fans, over 10,000 of them, away in Rome, that was very exciting. To win the game with Olivier Ntcham ’s goal in the 95th minute, it was very special. When that happens, you need to run and celebrate.“I came back in for the St Mirren game before the football was postponed, and I wanted to keep playing and to keep getting more game time. But the coronavirus stopped everything. That wasn’t ideal but now I feel fit and I’m ready to go for this season.“I’m really happy to be back, to be back with my team-mates and to start pre-season training.“And I’m also happy that we won the championship – we’re all happy about that and we are now looking forward to the season ahead.”"

It will be nice seeing a fully healthy Elhamed this coming season. He will likely play an integral part in domestic success, such as winning the coveted 10-in-a-row. Furthermore, with the new Champions League qualifying process revealed to only contain one leg, defense may take on a much more important role in progressing.

This club is far better with a healthy Elhamed. If he can stay healthy then the sky is the limit for this defence and subsequently the club.
