And possibly a controversial one to consider. But do read on about a keeper with a huge career and strong experience in big games at club and international level. He’s well known to many and while not always head and shoulders above the competition he’s got many strengths to make him an attractive proposition. It’s expected that Hart will be available for free transfer shortly.

Hart is now 33 and barely played over the last season at Burnley. Age is less of an issue for goalkeepers and we saw how well Forster returned to the pitch to perform.  Hart himself recognises he’ll need to think differently and move away from England. He was most successful in his time at Manchester City, before Guardiola replaced him there with a more ball at feet keeper in Ederson. He talks about wanting to be part of something, of still having the ability and desire.

Perhaps the Celtic family will offer something he can be part of. Possibly ten-in-a-row offers the right challenge of something huge to get involved in. Hart’s experience of big games, could in fact help some of Celtic’s younger players. At first though Hart feels like a no thanks, but let it ponder, consider the strengths he could bring and he might just be a very good purchase.
