4. 2012 – 2013

Trophies: Scottish Premier League, Scottish Cup, Scottish League Cup runners-up, Champion’s League Round of 16

League Play: 1st Place by 16 points.

The club’s 125th year of play saw much success on the field for the Hoops. Three years into Neil Lennon’s first stint as manager in Parkhead, the side saw their longest Champion’s League run in club history, reaching the Round of 16. Taking a 2-1 victory over Spanish giants FC Barcelona in Glasgow was a high point for the club before losing 5-0 on aggregate to Italian-side Juventus.

3. 1969 – 1970

Trophies: Scottish First Division, Scottish Cup Finalists, Scottish League Cup, European Cup Finalists

League Play: 1st Place by 12 points over Rangers, with a +63 GD.

While losing in the Scottish Cup finals could be seen as a drawback on this season, the double of fairly easily winning the League title as well as the League Cup should outshine the missed trophy. Even more astounding, the Hoops made a stellar run in the European Cup, losing in the final to Dutch-side Feyenoord 2-1 in the San Siro. Their second leg match in Glasgow was, at the time, the highest recorded attendance for any non-international European draw at 133,961 fans.
