Celtic manager Neil Lennon has a new transfer update for fans ahead of the summer transfer window opening.

The summer transfer window is quickly approaching for Celtic, and a lot of big decisions will need to be made regarding transfers coming in and out, along with the need for strong recruitment in order to get the best available talent on the club.

With names like Kristoffer Ajer, Fraser Forster and Mohamed Elyounoussi possibly not returning, new blood will need to be brought in as replacements. That is not even mentioning the exit of Jozo Simunovic and fan favourite Jonny Hayes. The Hoops have some work to do, and they will need to get it done quickly and early as training for the club begins next week.

There are some names that have been already linked to the club (and Rangers… of course) that include veteran midfielders all the way to young defenders looking for their big break on one of the greatest football clubs in the world.

In the midst of all this, Celtic boss Neil Lennon has given an update on the progress they are making with recruitment and fostering relationships with clubs so that when the transfer window opens they can strike quickly. Here is what the boss had to say when he spoke with the BBC:

"“In terms of the recruitment processes, they’re all under way now.“In terms of adding to the squad and talking to clubs, again, it’s sort of early days but we’ve made tentative inroads as regards that as well.”"

By being proactive the club can bring in players quickly, which is beneficial to squad chemistry especially in a time where there has been high turnover of leaders in the locker room. One thing we do now for certain is that the board, and the manager are fully dedicated to making the best moves in order to accomplish the greatest feat in Scottish football history: 10-in-a-row.
