One former-Rangers star has sent a ridiculous warning shot to Celtic concerning the 10-in-a-row continuing their embarrassing media form.
Celtic are well prepared and setup for a run at another championship season when the campaign gets under way in a few months. Another championship would bring in 10-in-a-row, something nearly every Hoops supporter is well aware of by this point.
While confidence is high at Parkhead, players, former-players, and coaches over at Ibrox have an odd sense of confidence as well. It seems nearly everything that Rangers affiliated personnel have to say to the media is how good they will be next season, and how Celtic has little chance of claiming the 10IAR. If it sounds familiar it’s because it happens nearly summer.
Now Andy Halliday, a former-Rangers man himself until he fell out of favour last season has made a ridiculous claim. He believes that if Rangers were able to sign say… three more Ianis Hagi’s then the club would be in good position. Hagi came over on loan last season, and is quite good. His talent level is something to keep an eye on. So, yes, three more Hagi’s would of course make Rangers better, and maybe give the Hoops a run for their money.
Here is what he said while speaking with PLZ Soccer:
"Hagi is a great signing, if we get another two or three Hagi’s to gel with the squad that we’ve already got I’m hoping and I’m confident that the club will do well."
We have no idea where Rangers would be able to pull that type of move off with their dire financial situation and all. Also, it is such an easy argument to make that if a team added three more stars to their squad then that club would be better.
It is a cheap argument, and quite frankly embarrassing.
