Celtic Park is one of the greatest atmospheres in the world. Now it is getting the attention it deserves.

The France Football poll compiled a list of the thirty stadiums around the world with the best atmospheres. Per Glasgow Live Celtic Park has been included in the rankings, coming in fifth place.

It has been hailed as one the “most vibrant” stadiums in the world of football, but not in terms of architecture.

The poll has stated that it has nothing to do with the grounds itself, but the fans that fill the stadiums seat for electrifying game after electrifying game. Players often talk about this phenomenal support they receive from the fans and the joy they take in winning for the Scottish team. Here is what Football France had to say about Parkhead (translated by Glasgow Live):

"“For once, it is not the players that are noted, but their supporters. Those who shout, sing and encourage. France Football has established the ranking of the most vibrant shouters on the planet.””"

This energy has garnered The Bhoys fans from all around the world, the passion of existing fans stirring up the interest of people from many different backgrounds.

The grounds were beaten out by icons of international football, stadiums like La Bombonera and Anfield which is stiff competition by any metric.

The acknowledgement of Celtic’s presentation does not end with Celtic Park, the crest itself has also been honoured in another international poll.

The shamrock ranks among the top bracket in a poll made by Spanish football site, Marca. 10 million fans cast their votes in Spain and Latin America, and The Hoops ranked highly among popular Latin clubs.

25,000 people voted for The Bhoys, beating out world class clubs like A.C Milan and Bayern Munich to name a few. Celtic claimed fifteenth on the world crest ranking, losing out to favourties like Real Madrid and Barcelona. The only other British teams to rank so highly were Manchester United and Liverpool, while The Hoops were the only Scottish team to be included among the Top 50.

Do any of you have particularly fond memories supporting Celtic, at home or away?
