The majority of the Celtic stars have returned to Scotland as they look to start their preparations for next season.

The Bhoys are definitely back in town with the majority of the Celtic squad already back in Scotland. The overseas players are having to complete two weeks isolation ahead of training recommencing on 11 June at Lennoxtown.

Celtic fans will be delighted to know preparations are already well underway with the players for whenever the season starts. News of training starting during June is great to hear for everyone. Although the club leadership continued to endorse the importance of everyone’s safety and well-being at every stage.

Peter Lawwell talked in the recent Celtic club statement about welcoming the decision in principle to a phased return to training and matches. Elsewhere in the statement and in the Daily Record, Neil Lennon laid out what that means in terms of getting the squad back together and working hard for the new season.

Lennon talked about the hard work already underway with the club providing all the players with important information to help with their physical condition and welfare during lockdown. In the background club fitness coach John Currie and Jack Nayler (Head of Sports Science) have been continually preparing players for the day when training can start, and that’s now only days away. Lennon confirmed:

"“We have been putting programmes in place for a return to some form of training, looking at our plans and objectives for next season and, as always, have continued to look at identifying new player targets and ways we can develop our squad.”"

Neil Lennon happily reported that his players were in good spirit despite lockdown and isolation. And also declared himself delighted with the preparations so far.

Great news all round. It looks as though it won’t be long before we see a video or two from the club of our 9 in a row heroes preparing for 10 at Lennoxtown.
