After looking at three players who may have seen their last with Celtic, we now turn our attention to three who may have a breakthrough next season.

There is always excitement about a new transfer window and who might sign before it slams shut. Some new players are signed for the future and along side home grown talent will be looking to break into the first team over the coming months or for the following season. Here are three players already at Celtic who will want to do so for the new 10-in-a-row season.

Karamoko Dembele

This young Dembele is already a bit of a sensation with skill aplenty. Although he was well known to fans at an early age he made wider news when he debuted for Celtic U-20 aged just 13.

He’s very sensible and level headed for a youngster on the verge of stardom. Recently Marvin Compper talked of him as being one of the biggest talents for his age in Europe. Although Compper did also reflect on Dembele’s need to develop more power and strength to hold his own on the pitch. He is still quite small and slight but then Jinky was not built heavily either and he did all right!

Karamoko Dembele has been exciting the fans for a while and there’s always speculation about whether he’ll make the bench for some games, or even start. He’s been edging forward and perhaps had the season not been curtailed would maybe have made a few end of season appearances. Especially when the league was in the bag.

Is this coming season the chance to shine more regularly at first team level? Youth does get its chance at Celtic and Neil Lennon endorses that approach. Perhaps with the significant emphasis we’ll see on winning the league we might see him get a chance in some cup games to help rest others. Dembele will certainly be hoping so as will fans who love to see a youngster with skill take to the pitch.
