3 players who have played their last match for Celtic
By Kade Kistner
Every year there will be some turnover heading into the summer transfer window. Here are three players who have likely played their last match for Celtic.
There is little doubt that the current Celtic club will be revamped as the Hoops pursue the coveted 10-in-a-row. Hoops manager Neil Lennon said so himself a few months ago when he said the club will look different when the 2020/2021 season opens up. That means there will be a few familiar faces who won’t be returning for next season, and as such have likely played their final game wearing the Green and White. With that, let’s get to it, here are three players we have pegged to have likely played their last match for the Hoops:
Craig Gordon, GK
The Hoops made a big splash when they brought back fan favourite Fraser Forster on loan from Southampton. As soon at the big man arrived Scott Bain and Craig Gordon became an afterthought once Forster reclaimed his starting spot.
Gordon who is 37-years old has only a limited time left to continue playing football. The goalkeeper has expressed interest in getting first team action with a club, and it appears that won’t be with the Hoops. With Gordon out of a contract, and Forster likely coming back in some fashion, Gordon has likely seen his last wearing the Green and White.
