Celtic captain Scott Brown has recently made a massive prediction regarding the future of one of the Hoops’ biggest stars.

Scott Brown has no problems speaking with the media and giving a fans a true glimpse into the inner workings and thoughts of the club. Therefore, when he speaks you listen. But now the Celtic captain has once again been heard making a bold prediction about one of the club’s biggest and brightest stars.

Speaking with The Sun, The Hoops skipper believes that James Forrest will go on to become the all-time leader in medals for Celtic, and also believes he is the best at what he does in the SPFL. The prediction could very well come to fruition as Forrest is only 28-years old, and has all but dedicated the rest of his career to the Green and White.

Bobby Lennox currently holds the record with 25 medals, while Scott Brown is in second with 21 followed by Forrest with 19. Due to the age difference, it is likely Forrest will continue to play when the current skipper decides to hang up his cleats.

Speaking with The Sun, here is what Scott Brown had to say about his teammate:

"“For me, Jamesy is the underdog. He can go a long, long way more yet. He’s only 28, just about to turn 29 and still has plenty of years to go winning trophies.“Jamesy has been incredible and, for me, he’s been a breath of fresh air every time he steps onto that park. He’s been the best at what he does in the SPFL for many years.“I was just so glad last season that it was recognised when he won the Player of the Year awards.”"

Both men have been fan favourites since their arrivals, and in a time where money speaks volumes, both men have dedicated their careers to the Hoops. They embody what means to truly be a Celtic player. We hope that each one continues to play for a long time.

As far as predictions go though, we think Brown has this one spot on. Let us know what you think in the comments!
