Celtic as a club have just announced that they have won the 2019/2020 league championship officially marking the nine-in-a-row.

This has seemed like such a long time coming after football was suspended nearly two months ago due to the novel coronavirus. Many fans and officials believed that football would be played again this year. As that soon started to look unrealistic the eyes of every club turned their attention as to what could happen, but Celtic fans kept the faith.

After all the drama and heartache we finally have our answer. As of this morning Celtic has been crowned league CHAMPIONS of the 2019/2020 season. This was more than deserved after sitting atop the table by 13 points, and Rangers actively imploding before the shutdown even began. This closure allows clubs to move on and begin preparations for next season by looking ahead to the summer transfer window.

Many people, well just a few, and mainly Ibrox supporters, will say that there is an asterisk next to this championship. Just for reference, despite having no hardware, and the future not looking too bright on that front for Rangers, anything they win will have an asterisk next to. You know, liquidation and all.

But here is to the Hoops and their rightful crowning of champions. Now Celtic and its fans can enjoy what was due. To all the Bhoys and Ghirls out there enjoy this day, this moment, and then let’s turn out eyes to the future. The elusive 10-in-a-row is out there. It is on the horizon, and we have to hope our club is ready for the journey.
