Celtic are interested in highly-rated Polish left-back

Celtic are reportedly interested in a youngster and rising star at the left-back position after the player’s deal with FC Barcelona fell through.
Celtic are always on the look out to help bolster their roster, and the left-back position has been one of contention during the 2019/2020 season. Boli Bolingoli has been a hot topic this past season with his high variance of play, and Greg Taylor was brought in from Kilmarnock but never made the huge impression expected.
Who was a surprise was Jeremie Frimpong, a youngster who plays with electricity and passion. Someone with a similar skill set as Frimpong would do well in the system, which brings Michal Karbownik into the conversation.
The 19-year old left-back was supposedly under contract with Barcelona for £3.5m , but with the novel coronavirus crisis at hand, that deal is now off. Karbownik would represent a huge infusion of youth into the system, something Celtic is always keen on doing. And the Daily Record has said that the interest by the Hoops is real as they have watched the left-back twice this past season.
Of course with a player of this talent, and at this price, a lot of big clubs are going to be interested. If Barcelona is interested then a slew of other clubs of relative stature could have their eyes on the youngster. Karbownik would do well with the Hoops and their youth, and could immediately see first team experience.
A move to Celtic would make sense for both the player and the club. Now both just have to be convinced to make it happen.
