Brendan Rodgers’ home had gotten broken into in March and a lot of his belongings stolen, including his Celtic medals.

Thieves sacked the home of ex-Celtic boss, Brendan Rodgers, back in March. They made away with medals and trophies that Rodgers amassed over a long career in football. Now the thieves have escaped without seeing handcuffs, as per the Daily Record.

Brendan Rodgers joined up with Leicester City a week before the incident and left home for work. The robbers attempted to break into the home while Rodgers’s partner Charlotte, 36, was awake.T heir daughter, 6, Lola slept in the master bedroom.

Charlotte managed to activate the panic button and contact Rodgers while she locked herself and Lola in the bathroom.

The thieves made off with medals and trophies, winnings Rodgers earned during his time at Parkhead.

A robber involved in the raid posted a pic of himself on social media, in it he is standing next to a picture of Brendan and Charlotte on their wedding day. The boastful image may help the police in tracking down these criminals in the future.

Police Scotland were aware of the picture doing the rounds on the internet and this to say:

"“We have been made aware of an image in relation to an ongoing investigation.”“Enquiries will be carried out. Anybody with information is asked to contact police.”"

The investigation has ended without any of the loot being found or a thief apprehended. The case is not completely shut, as a spokeswoman for Scotland Police said:

"“Following a full investigation, inquiries are now complete. No arrests have been made but should further information become available, it will be assessed and investigated.”"

Brendan Rodgers gave his own statement on the early morning raid:

"“They ransacked the bottom of the house then went upstairs.”"

Despite the memories that were lost in the burglary, he is relived that his family is alright:

"“They’re fine and they’re safe. They called me but I didn’t hear it and when I woke I saw the missed call.”"

Although the relationship between Brendan Rodgers and Celtic Football Club came to a sour end, we would be hoping that the current Leicester City manager is eventually able to get his belongings back. Some of those items were his life’s work and nobody has the right to take them away from him.

Hopefully the Police will be able to track down the thieves and Rodgers’ items will be returned to him.
