When an ex-Vice Chairman of Rangers slams their behaviour recently as disappointing, you know the game and the league is likely up.
Donald Findlay was speaking on BBC Scotland’s The Nine on Thursday evening. While giving his views on the current football situation in his role as Cowdenbeath chairman, his past executive role at Rangers meant he was asked for his views on their ongoing protests and behaviour.
"I'm disappointed @RangersFC have made allegations and not produced the evidence."

Donald Findlay told #TheNine if wrongdoing has been committed by the @spfl, his former club should make the evidence public so that it can be dealt with. pic.twitter.com/yNp65Rf01A
Donald started by admitting his concerns about Scottish football where he sees a very real risk that a number of clubs will struggle to stay afloat. When asked about the recent board resolution to end the season he was adamant he had no complaints in the way the authorities handled it. No-one had tried to bully or coerce him in anyway.
Asked about Rangers he talked about his disappointment in the way they handled matters over recent weeks. Naturally his legal background and court experience led him to join most others in asking to see the evidence they repeatedly refer to. Of which there is yet no sign.
He was quite dignified in showing his displeasure at Rangers as a club and board. It clearly didn’t match his past standards when he was there.
"“I don’t think that’s the way Rangers used to behave.“I don’t think that they have dealt with this in a very balanced way.”"
And perhaps remembering a well worn phrase about the people from his day at the club..
"“I’m disappointed in the people at Rangers at the moment"
Which is a shame for him, because for most of us we get a good laugh at them each day. Until we find some type of conclusion to the season, we will just have to settle for Rangers, their fans, and their actions to be our main form of entertainment.
