One Rangers star believes that if the season were to resume that the Ibrox club could catch Celtic in the Scottish Premiership League table.

Watch out, Rangers are being delusional once again. One of their star youngsters has made an insane claim that he thinks Rangers will still catch Celtic in the table. Despite being 13 points behind Celtic in the table, Rangers still have a game in hand, and are scheduled for two Glasgow Derby matches.

Of course all of this talk by Rangers youngster Ianis Hagi would hinge on the fact that matches would be able to be played. Due to the novel coronavirus, football has been suspended across Europe. Each day that passes makes it less likely that a season can be salvaged and that Celtic will eventually be handed the championship.

To be completely fair, every member of every club has to believe they can win the league at all times until mathematically eliminated. So it comes as little surprise that a young star believes his club can still compete.

Speaking with the Daily Mail, Hagi had this to stay about his club:

"“Can we win the league? If you look at the points difference, it’s a tough one. We have to be realistic.“But our only mindset, if the season starts, is we have to go out there and win every game – and then we’ll see where we stand at the end of the season.”"

Realistically speaking, Rangers have little chance to catch Celtic. Less than 1.5% to be exact. While we all want football to return in some form or fashion, we may have to wait until next season. With that in mind, Celtic are nearly assured to win the championship and youngster Hagi’s comments will mean little.

Hopefully things will return to normal soon and we will get to witness the Bhoys in action again. Until then, stay safe and stay healthy friends.
