Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has called for an investigation into the SPFL for their inter-dealings with the current situation.

There has been so much drama surrounding the possibility of the SPFL bringing the Scottish Premiership League to a conclusion this season after it was suspended due to the novel coronavirus. Statement after statement has been released, and the interviews keep on coming.

It should come as little surprise that much of that noise has been coming out of the club that claims Ibrox as its lair. Just a few days ago Rangers accused the SPFL of some massive scheme, and they had had evidence from a whistle-blower to back it up.

As it turns out, that evidence was never made public for reasons that could probably easily be guessed. Rangers went as far as releasing a statement claiming the SPFL was ‘bullying’ other clubs into voting for a resolution that wasn’t in complete favour of Rangers’ desires.

Now that that did not work, Ibrox manager Steven Gerrard believes that their should be an investigation into the SPFL, forensic accountants and all.

What is worse is that Rangers have been using the suspension of the league caused by COVID-19 as some type of cover for their selfish actions. One minute they claim they want to play out the league, the next they are ripping up their turf. Then one minute they claim they want the league ‘null and void’ and the next they want the second-place prize money.

It’s an absolute mess over there, and the entire organization should be ashamed of how they are handling this crisis. Handle it with some grace. The entire world is watching, and as such Rangers need to get in line with how to conduct themselves in order to not tarnish the reputation of Scottish football.
