Celtic legend Chris Sutton brutally trolls Rangers after they released a statement following the report that UEFA and SPFL could hand the title to Celtic.

Earlier today there were reports that UEFA would allow smaller European leagues to end their seasons and crown the current top club as champions. This contradicts their statement last week that would prohibit those leagues from sending clubs to Europe next season. Now, Rangers have released a statement, and Chris Sutton is their to troll them.

Rangers are upset that Celtic will be handed the title and subsequent nine-in-a-row. The Ibrox club has not done well at veiling their desires which is to receive second-place prize money while the league is declared ‘null and void’.

Much to their chagrin, that does not look like it will be the case as the path forward is now much clearer thanks to UEFA’s latest course of action. As such, Rangers have released a new statement, and Rangers manager Steven Gerard is upset. The Ibrox club is even threatening legal action over the possible resolution.

For reference, here is Rangers’ new statement, which essentially calls out the SPFL process as unfair, and should be looked at closely. Celtic legend Chris Sutton took no time to brutally troll Rangers for their foolishness on Twitter:

Sutton, as always, makes a superb point. It is ALWAYS someone else’s fault other than Rangers for their shortcomings. The fact that Rangers had a game in over Celtic heading into the winter break, and are now 13 points behind the Hoops in the table speaks volumes.
