With the summer transfer window almost in sight, some of Celtic boss Neil Lennon‘s transfer priorities is coming to light.

With the novel coronavirus postponing football all across the globe, most of the headlines have been about the postponement of the sport. As we approach closer to a solution, or a conclusion, many clubs and fans, are realizing that transfer season is nearly upon us. As such, Celtic boss Neil Lennon has recently had his transfer priorities revealed.

Here, at The Celtic Bhoys, we recently wrote about how the Hoops are planning an overhaul this coming summer transfer window. You can read that piece here. But now, those plans are starting to come into light a little bit better.

While Football Insider 247 has revealed that Neil Lennon wants to sign a left-back, and that position will be his priority, the amount of signings the club wants to make is the real eye catcher. Neil Lennon and the board want to have a grand total of six signings that would bring in real talent to the club.

The aggressive nature in the summer transfer window may be due to a couple of factors. The first being the obvious: players leaving. There has already been talk from Kristoffer Ajer‘s agent about his departure. It should also come as little surprise that Odsonne Edouard may also be on his way out due to his phenomenal play, and clubs like Arsenal who have their eye on the Frenchman.

The second is that Rangers have been trying desperately to catch up. And up until their annual crash, Rangers looked poised to make a real run at the domestic crown. The Hoops will need to bring in extra firepower and talent to ensure that does not occur in the 2020/21 season.

We know that Neil Lennon wants a stud left-back, and there is no telling who else the club may be willing to bring in, in order to help stave off Rangers and pursue the coveted ten-in-a-row.
