Celtic could be in for a huge windfall of cash if Arsenal decides to pursue one former Bhoy. It could also have another unintended benefit for the Hoops.

After an incredible down season for one of the biggest clubs in the world, Arsenal will be looking to drastically improve in a number of areas. Their answer to some of their problems may lie in the former of a former Celtic player, or possibly even a current Hoops superstar.

Arsenal has expressed interest in Hoops striker Odsonne Edouard by monitoring his performances according to the Daily Mirror. It comes with little surprise that some of the biggest clubs in the world are showing interest in Odsonne Edouard. The striker has been absolutely stunning this season, and was in fantastic form prior to the postponement of the season.

However, Moussa Dembele could be another option for the Hoops, and even his signing would bring in a major windfall for the Hoops. Celtic have a sell on clause in the range of 10 to 15 percent for Dembele, which could potentially bring in a £10 million cash boost, especially if Arsenal is willing to pay that price tag.

Furthermore, if Arsenal were to sign Moussa Dembele then the need for Odsonne Edouard could conceivably disappear. That would be the best case scenario for the Hoops as they would hopefully retain Odsonne Edouard for the ten-in-a-row. The massive cash windfall that they’ll receive will just be the cherry on the top.

In any case, it will be very interesting to keep an eye on what happens with either player. Celtic will need to make significant investments in the squad this offseason. Any cash from a Dembele signing would go a long way in helping with those additional investments.
