Celtic will look to overhaul their club this summer in an attempt to better chase the coveted, and historic ten-in-a-row championships.

Celtic were on course to once again sweep the domestic board as far as titles, and hardware was concerned. For while, especially just before the winter break, Rangers looked poised to make a legitimate race out of the season.

However, in common fashion, Rangers floundered heavily prior to the postponement of football due to the novel coronavirus. What was not lost on Hoops manager Neil Lennon and the board is the need to improve at key positions across the board.

Rangers will always be working at gaining extra talent (with what money, we don’t know) in an attempt to close the gap between them and the Hoops. As such, an increase in talent, and expectations must be executed in order to continue domestic dominance.

According to Football Insider 247, the Hoops will look to add to the squad in every way possible aside from right-back:

"“Manager Neil Lennon is clear the squad requires reinforcements even though they were on course for a remarkable fourth consecutive domestic treble before the postponement of the football season.“One position in which the manager is happy with his options is at right-back.“The Hoops recruited three players in that position last summer and 19-year-old Jeremie Frimpong has been a revelation.“In addition to a new left-back, Celtic are set to be in the market to strengthen in the goalkeeper, centre-back, central midfield, attacking midfield and centre-forward positions.”"

It will be interesting to see how many players Celtic can feasibly bring in. While there has been a surplus in cash flow coming into the club in recent years, the suspension of football will surely be eating into some of those funds.

Celtic has played a major part in helping employees, and the community stay afloat during this tough time. Realistically, an upgrade at left-back and possibly one other position would be in the works, with other depth options signed to help in the event of injury or poor fitness.
