One of FC Barcelona’s biggest stars has hailed Celtic Park as one of the ‘best football stadiums in the world’ and revealed that he wants to play there.

It has been almost two weeks since all of football was suspended indefinitely due to the global outbreak of the coronavirus and even longer since Celtic played their last game. And it will be at least another five weeks or so before it is back on Scottish soil although that is also looking an unrealistic return date at this point of time with the number of cases increasing at an alarming rate worldwide.

With people being advised to not go outside their homes as well, there is no much else to do at the moment other than watch old Celtic games and dream up unrealistic transfer scenarios that end up with Lionel Messi donning the Hoops for ten-in-a-row next season. But that’s for a topic for another day. Interestingly, one of Messi’s FC Barcelona teammates took the time today to express his admiration for Celtic Park.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been absolutely world class for the past several seasons between the sticks for the Spanish giants. Many would even argue that he is the best goalkeeper in the world at the moment.

With not much do at the moment himself, the German keeper conducted a Q&A session on his Twitter. One Celtic fan took the opportunity to ask him about his thoughts regarding Celtic Park, and his answer could not be classier if he tried:

Celtic Park is certainly one of the best stadiums on the planet and the German must really be craving the chance to experience the Parkhead experience on an European night. And judging by how things have gone against FC Barcelona in the past, not many Hoops fans would be against the idea facing the Catalans in the future.

If ter Stegen one day decides to leave Camp Nou and head to Parkhead for a final few years before hanging up the gloves, we would not be against that idea either.
