High-profile Celtic fans include Rod Stewart, Gerard Butler, and Lewis Capaldi. Celtic has well-known reputation for courting some of the most high-profile fans in the game. However, during the season, it is hard for those fans and Hoops players to be able to mingle.
Now, due to the novel coronavirus, the season has been indefinitely suspended, and players have found themselves with a little extra free time. Celtic superstar Leigh Griffiths posted on his Instagram feed a picture of Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi and himself.
Lewis Capaldi had an event on Sunday night in Aberdeen. Apparently, Leigh Griffiths took the additional free time to make the trip to see the singer live. The two ended up taking a photo together with the singer clutching a Celtic jersey.
It will be interesting to see how the Hoops players continue to conduct themselves in public with much of the country going into isolation. Still, with the football season being suspended, it is always fun to see out Bhoys, even if it is not on a football pitch.
