Here are the 5 hits and flops from Celtic’s embarrassing exit from the Europa League at the hands of FC Copenhagen after a 3-1 loss at Parkhead.

The less said about Celtic’s performance yesterday against FC Copenhagen, the better. It was a terrible, terrible night for the Hoops fans, made even worse by the fact that Rangers had gone through to the Last 16 in a solid display away from home against SC Braga.

After a brilliant run in the group stage, this was a huge anti-climax to their European campaign for the season. Now, their attention will turn to domestic competition and it is safe to say that anything less than a fourth straight treble will not be taken well by the Celtic fans.

Here are our 5 hits and flops from the game:

HIT: Odsonne Edouard

Trust us, it was hard to find someone who came out of this game that we could call a hit. But ultimately we settled on Edouard.

Yes, he was nowhere near his best. Had a shot saved and did not offer too much up top as the FC Copenhagen defenders did well to contain the Frenchman throughout the course of the evening.

Ultimately though, when his chance came, he did deliver. A brilliant panenka penalty under pressure just showed his class. That handed Celtic a lifeline – one which they did not take long to squander.
