Celtic returns to action to take on Clyde in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup on Sunday, as they look to continue their hot streak.
League One Side Clyde will host the reigning champions, Celtic, on Sunday in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup. All Hoops fans have heard all week is talk about the infamous match in 2006 when Clyde defeated Celtic during Roy Keane’s debut.
However, don’t expect history to repeat itself on Sunday. The Hoops are playing light out football since the calendar turned to 2020, and they are showing no signs of slowing down. In their last five matches, the Hoops have scored at least three goals, and will look to continue to ride that momentum through Clyde.
Clyde sits near the bottom of the League One table, and should pose little threat to the Hoops. Expect Neil Lennon to still field an incredibly talented team despite the competition, as all fans know that any club is capable of beating anyone on any given matchday.
