Kris Boyd launched a scathing and unprofessional attack on Celtic fans after Rangers dropped five points in the recent weeks.

While not many actually care what Kris Boyd says, especially not Celtic fans, his unprofessional antics require a tad of a call out. During December’s Glasgow Derby match, Boyd nearly lost his mind when it was clear Rangers would be the victors.

With that victory, Celtic was, at the time, only two points ahead and Rangers had a game in hand. Boyd ensured that everyone was well aware of the power dynamic at hand.

However, as the calendar flipped, so did the fortunes of both clubs. Celtic has won all six matches in the New Year, and have scored three goals in all five of their Scottish Premiership League matchups. Rangers…? They have dropped five points, three to the bottom club in the league.

This has clearly angered Boyd who has now made one of the more head scratching attacks on Celtic fans in recent memory. The Sun, as his vessel, here is what he had to say:

"CONGRATULATIONS go to Celtic on winning the Premiership title.“What? The league isn’t over yet? There is still a third of the season to go?“Sorry, my mistake. But judging by the loud noises coming from the Celtic support in the last week I assumed they’d already been crowned champions. It’s funny that. In the weeks after Rangers’ Old Firm win at Parkhead, a lot of punters must have had broken fingers and lost voices.“The social media messages stopped. You barely heard a peep from Celtic fans. Now, after Rangers dropped five points in a week, the fingers seemed to have healed and they’ve suddenly found their voices again“The messages have started, they are all having a go and you can hear a lot of noise. It’s all wildly premature. Trust me, this title race is FAR from over. There are still plenty of twists and turns to come.”"

Boyd has always been one of those in the media industry that believes that what he has to say holds any meaning. In fact, as long as he continues to lecture and act like a fanboy anytime Rangers do their job, it appears it will work in Celtic’s favour.

In any case, let’s focus on the next match at hand, and continue to prove why the Hoops is not only the best club in Scotland, but also the best fan base.
