We rate every Celtic player that took the pitch on Sunday in a Scottish Premiership League match against Hamilton Academical on Sunday.

Celtic started slowly on Sunday against Hamilton, but were still able to pull off the 1-4 victory. It took some strong tactics and resilience from the squad to come back from the early adversity. We are going to rate out each player’s performance from the match.

Fraser Forster-7.5

Despite Hamilton’s lone goal, Forster looked and played well on Sunday. Some key saves in the first half kept this match from getting out of hand for the Bhoys.

Stephen Welsh-7

The 20-year old defender made his debut for the Hoops on Sunday. He played well, and he looked comfortable filling out the back line. He will be a key piece moving forward. You heard it here.

Christopher Jullien-7

The Frenchman continued his torrid season by scoring the goal that got the Hoops ahead of Hamilton in the second half. However, his defensive play was questionable at best. Hopefully he is able to quickly rebound.

Kristoffer Ajer-5.5

The Norwegian centre-back continued to struggle on Sunday. Ajer was a big reason for Celtic’s defensive successes early in the first half of the season. Now, he appears to be a liability in some scenarios. He has got to figure it out.

James Forrest-6.5

Forrest took some criticism for completing a disappearing act near the end of the first half of the season. Aside from his goal at the end of the match, Forrest’s presence was hardly felt on the pitch.

Scott Brown-6

Not much to say about the captain. He helped turn the team around in the second half en route to four eventual goals.

Olivier Ntcham-6.5

Ntcham was coming off a great performance, but Sunday he took a step back. He was not able to prove as a difference maker when the Hoops were struggling. He needed to step up, but was unable to do so.

Callum McGregor-7

CalMac made some good runs down the side, and had opportunities to score on Sunday. He was unable to make any of those opportunities count, but played hard and tried to be the difference maker.

Greg Taylor-5.5

Taylor was unable to capitalize on his opportunity he was given by Neil Lennon. Taylor looked great against St. Johnstone, and many believe he will eventually be able to be a key piece in the defence. However, he was not that on Sunday against Hamilton.

Leigh Griffiths-5

Griffiths really cooled off on Sunday after scoring three goals in four matches heading into the matchup with Hamilton. He played well, but was unable to find the back of the net during the four-goal performance for the squad.

Odsonne Edouard-9

He is the best striker in Scotland. And one day could be one of the best in the world. He played like it on Sunday.
