Celtic linked with transfer for former Neil Lennon favourite

Hibernian striker, Martin Boyle, has been linked with Celtic in recent days. Now, his manager has come out and warned the striker is not for sale.
Celtic have been linked with Hibernian striker Martin Boyle, and Australian star that Hoops boss Neil Lennon is very familiar with during his time as manager of Hibs. Over the last few weeks, there have been reports that the Hoops are interested in bringing the frontman to Parkhead.
Celtic have already brought in one striker during the current winter transfer window in Patryk Klimala, a Polish striker with promise. Adding another ace could aid the team in depth, but with the resurgence of Leigh Griffiths, and Odsonne Edouard taking up the bulk of playing time, it remains to be seen what Martin Boyle could provide the club with.
This time of year nearly every player is connected to the club, or so it seems. However, the Scottish Sun reports that Celtic’s Head of Football Operations, Nick Hammond, was recently on hand to watch Martin Boyle play against Hamilton.
However, a move to Celtic seems to be out of the cards for Martin Boyle, as his manager, Jack Ross, dismisses his move while talking to the Scottish Sun:
"“We’ve no interest in selling Martin Boyle and have not put any sort of value on him. There has been no contact regarding Martin. This has grown arms and legs over the last ten days and it’s pure speculation.“I’m really relaxed about it because I believe Martin Boyle will continue to play here until such time as the club gets an offer which is worth it.”"
This quote is interesting because in one breath Ross says they have no interest in selling him. Then in the very next sentence essentially says Martin Boyle will continue to play until the ‘right offer’ comes along. Which is it?
All of this is manager speak, and very common this time of year. By acting like they won’t sell, the price is rises, and once it reaches an optimal peak, the selling club relents. Let’s see where this one goes.
