Celtic Starting XI vs Ross County: Griffiths remains a starter

Here is the Celtic starting XI as they return to Scottish Premiership League action at Celtic Park on Saturday against Ross County.
Celtic Starting XI

- Johnny Hayes

- Leigh Griffiths
Substitutes: Craig Gordon, Greg Taylor, Stephen Welsh, Tom Rogic, Karamoko, Patryk Klimala, Odsonne Edouard
Neil Lennon is switching back to a striker formation upfront on Saturday against Ross County, at least at the onset of the match. This current lineup is continuing the trend of different looking lineups than fans have been accustomed to this season.
Moritz Bauer unsurprisingly gets the start at right-back after Jeremie Frimpong was stretched off the field against Kilmarnock after a dirty challenge by Alan Powers. Jeremie Frimpong emerged has a strong candidate for the starting job, after former starter Hatem Abd Elhamed continues to miss extended time with injury. Moritz Bauer will want to take advantage of this opportunity.
Jozo Simunovic gets another start today, while Kristoffer Ajer sits. The fact that Kristoffer Ajer is not even in the subs list is telling. His performance against Kilmarnock last Wednesday had some fans fuming.
This match will prove a great opportunity to get guys like James Forrest and Mikey Johnston back on track and in search of their former production from earlier in the season. James Forrest became nearly irrelevant late in the first half of the season after making an argument of being one of, if not the best player in Scotland. His successes truly give an extra dimension to the club.
Finally, Leigh Griffiths gets his third start in a row since returning from the break. Leigh Griffiths has scored in both matches, and will look to make it three in a row. His struggle with mental health issues has been well documented, and it truly is inspiring to see his return to elite form.
