Celtic has brought in two players this month in striker Patryk Klimala, and midfielder Ismaila Soro. Now, Neil Lennon teases that there could be more.

Celtic has been relatively active this month in the winter transfer window when they brought in Polish-striker Patryk Klimala and Ivorian midfielder Ismaila Soro. The club has also shipped out fan-favourite Scott Sinclair to Preston, and youngster Lewis Morgan to David Beckham‘s MLS-side in Miami, Florida.

Patryk Klimala has already made his debut for the Hoops when he took the pitch on Saturday against Partick Thistle late in the match.

Ismaila Soro will not take the pitch for the Hoops for at least a while longer as he acclimates to the club, and is able to find the right time to make his debut. However, the Ivorian midfielder comes highly-rated, and should be a big part of Neil Lennon’s plans going forward.

Despite these signings, Neil Lennon has teased that there may be more. Speaking with the Scottish Sun, he let the fans and media in on possible future plans as well as what Ismaila Soro means to the club:

"“Soro is agreed and we are just waiting on the paperwork being confirmed. He is a little bull. He is strong, technically very good and quick across the ground, too.“At 21, Soro has room for improvement but from what we’ve seen he looks a very good player.“We’re looking to bring in one or two others as well."

If the Hoops can in fact bring on a few more players, especially a defender, and another midfielder type of player, then the Hoops can look on the January transfer window as a success.

While an infusion of quality players is always a good thing, the additional competition that they bring is what will truly improve this club. Celtic already has a wealth of talent, but most of it is young. Additional competition will help to expedite improvement in the youngsters as they play for their place on the pitch.
