Celtic linked with £12-million Aston Villa striker

Celtic FC is exploring all options of bringing in immediate talent during the transfer window. They have not set their sights on an Aston Villa striker.
Celtic are keen in bringing talented players in order for them to immediately help the club this season. With cross-town rivals Rangers just behind the Hoops in the Scottish Premiership League table, and a rigorous Europa League schedule coming up, they will need all the help they can muster.
Hoops fans have watched two current players walk out the door this window with Scott Sinclair heading to Preston FC, and Lewis Morgan being reported on his way to Inter Miami in the United States.
Now, Celtic fans are waiting with bated breath to see who their club’s board and manager will bring in to help. After being connected to Ismaila Soro, Patryk Klimala, Victor Wanyama and Glenn Murray, there is a new name to add to the list: Scott Hogan.
Scott Hogan currently plays for Championship-side Stoke City and is on loan from English Premier League club Aston Villa. After having been a £12-million purchase, the striker has not lived up to the hype. According to TeamTalk, Scott Hogan is available during this transfer window, and Celtic is an option:
"“And with Stoke willing to let the player move elsewhere, Celtic are emerging as an option for the 27-year-old as Neil Lennon looks at options to bolster his squad.“The Bhoys lost forward Scott Sinclair this week, who joined Preston on a two-and-a-half-year deal and are looking to increase their options in attack.”"
The Ireland-national may see improvement in play with a move to Celtic, The Boot Room has pointed out, the Hoops have a good reputation for helping get players’ careers back on track.
Clearly Scott Hogan has some talent, and with a change of scenery could really provide a boost for the Hoops down the stretch.
