Scott Sinclair is set to undergo a medical today as he seeks to leave Celtic after having left the training camp in Dubai.

Scott Sinclair’s decline at Celtic has been abrupt and surprising. Not too long ago he was one of the top stars at Parkhead and racked up 160 appearances in just three seasons at the club. But this season he has lost his place in the team under Neil Lennon and has only managed 7 appearances, not even making the bench most of the time.

Thus, it should come as no surprise that the 30-year-old is looking for a move away in January in order to bring his career back on track and get some regular minutes again. And according to the Daily Record, Sinclair was given permission last night to seek a transfer and has now left the club’s training camp in Dubai for England in order to hold talks with Championship side, Preston North End.

Scott Sinclair has been an absolute superstar for Celtic over the past three seasons. He has scored 62 goals for the club and has won every domestic title that he has competed for since joining 2016. He took home all individual honours as well after an incredible debut campaign when he took Scottish football by storm. But it is cleat that the time has come for him to say his goodbyes.

He has been frozen out this season by Neil Lennon and is behind the likes of Mohamed Elyounoussi, Mikey Johnston and Lewis Morgan in the pecking order. The fact that he has managed only 7 appearances despite all the injuries that the club has suffered this season should tell you that he has no long-term future at the club.

Sinclair has been a brilliant player for this club and a huge part of one of the most successful periods in its history. And the manner in which his Celtic career is coming to an end is extremely sad.
