Celtic has been making headlines the last few days with shipping off stars, and now they have made a ‘concrete’ offer on a great striker.

Celtic just recently made headlines by sending one of their former stars to Preston. Scott Sinclair is the man in question, and was seen leaving the Dubai practice facility on Monday evening. Now, the Hoops look to have made a substantial offer for a great, promising striker.

The Hoops have been connected to the likes of Andraz Sporar and Glenn Murray during this current winter transfer window. One name to have popped up during this same time is Zimbabwean striker Tino Kadewere who currently plays for French-side Le Havre.

The Ligue 2 striker has scored 17 goals in 19 games this season, and looks to be a promising, young striker that would fit the profile for the Hoops. However, the issue is the price. As The Celtic Bhoys have previously mentioned, it would likely take a record transfer fee in order to grab him.

According to RMC Sport, Celtic is one of two clubs to have made an offer on Tino Kadewere. The Scotsman also suggests it could take quite a bit to pry him away from the striker’s current club:

"“Qatari side Al-Rayan have had “several firm offers” – the last in the region of €8 million (around £6.8 million) turned down – which may suggest how much Le Havre are looking for should they decide to offload the forward.”"

Strikers don’t come cheap these days, especially not those who score 17-goals in relatively tough competition and have age on their side. However, the Hoops have secured huge transfer fees for their top players such as Kieran Tierney in recent transfer windows and have done little to reinvest that same cash.

Making a move for a player for Tino Kadewere would signal to the fans that the Celtic board is committed to winning in the long-term, as well as in the immediate competitions such as the Europa League.
