There has been an immense amount of speculation about who Celtic could add to their squad in January, now one superstar may be on the move.

After a heartbreaking defeat to Rangers in December, and multiple injuries and injury concerns surrounding Celtic, it would make sense for the club to explore meaningful and impactful additions to the squad.

With Rangers just two points back in the Scottish Premiership League table, with one game in hand, the title race will go down to the wire. Furthermore, the Hoops have their eyes set on a deep run into the Europa League.

None of this will be made easier unless the Hoops sign some quality players. But, would the Hoops even entertain the idea of selling playmakers for a profit?

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United is indeed interested in buying Odsonne Edouard from the Hoops. Manchester United need extra firepower in order to gear up for the second half of the English Premier League season.

Would Celtic entertain the idea of selling their best player off during perhaps one of the most important transfer windows in recent history? that is unknown, but we do know they will entertain offers, and if they are blown away but one, such at the Kieran Tierney deal, then they may pull the trigger.

The issue for most Hoops fans is that they have repeatedly watched their club sell off the best players, but not use that money to reinvest in talent for the club. If the Hoops wish to compete with Rangers this season and beyond, Celtic will need to stockpile talent and only be willing to sell if they have additional talent waiting in the wings ready for first team play.

Here is to hoping Hoops fans get at least one more period of the prolific Odsonne Edouard.
