Celtic defeated St. Mirren in a Scottish Premiership League clash 2-0 on Wednesday night. Here are our player ratings from the match.

Fraser Forster- 7

The big man performed admirably as St. Mirren began pressuring early and often. Not much complaining can be done when the goalkeeper keeps the sheet clean. There were a few close moments that could have put Celtic down, but Forster overall handled his duties well.

Christopher Jullien- 6.5

Jullien did a great job of helping defend the back line against a pressuring St. Mirren. However, the defender missed a great opportunity to help put his club ahead another goal when his missed a wide open header from a corner kick. Overall, another solid performance by the defender.

Greg Taylor- 5

The newcomer did his job admirably. Had some good runs on balls, and with some extra minutes under his belt he could prove to be a great pick up. As far as yesterday, not much came his way, but when it did, he performed. Would have liked to see some more action out of him.

Scott Brown-6

Good performance out of the captain yesterday. He just missed a shot on goal, and perhaps his best play was a great takeaway from St. Mirren before they could even get their attack started. The 34-year old turned in another above average performance.

Moritz Bauer- 5

Playing the opposite side of the field from Greg Taylor was Moritz Bauer. Neil Lennon really trusted both new Bhoys to do their jobs on Wednesday. Bauer’s performance was very similar to Taylor’s. Did just enough to help solidify the back line and keep the pressuring St. Mirren from launching anything threatening attacks.

Ryan Christie-7.5

Celtic welcomed back one of their best after a two game suspension. Christie had some good runs and helped set up both goals on the night. Plus, his beautiful shot on goal from 25-yards was JUST high. He did not miss a beat.

Odsonne Edouard-6

While he could not find the goal, his one shot on goal bounced just off the left post, allowing Mohamed Elyounoussi to find the back of the net. Overall, a very good performance from Edouard in a day the offense was struggling to find rhythm.

Mohamed Elyounoussi-8.5

The new Bhoys has been on FIRE during the month of October. After the Hoops could not find the goal all evening, Elyounoussi once again came up big and got the scoring and momentum started.

Kristoffer Ajer-6

In a night where the defense performed at an average level, Ajer put in an above average performance. Good runs, good energy, and great leadership in the back. Not much more you could ask for.

Callum MacGregor-4.5

During an evening when the offense was anemic, so was CalMAc. Not a typical performance from the usually high performing player. Hopefully this is just a blip in his status quo.

James Forrest- 8.5

After signing a new four-year deal, the Bhoy helped put the second goal on the board. The always consistent and productive player did it again against St. Mirren.
