Celtic have hit a domestic snag in a recent weeks dropping five points in their last two games away at Hibernian and Livingston. This sudden loss of form has led some wild speculation with Alan Brazil even claiming that Neil Lennon and Scott Brown might have even had a falling out.

A couple of weeks ago everything seemed to be going smoothly in Celtic’s season. Aside from their 4-3 loss to CFR Cluj in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, the Glasgow side had not tasted defeat and were even having a perfect season domestically. But that has all changed in the past two matchdays with a 1-1 draw away at Hibernian followed by a 2-0 loss at Livingston, leaving them chasing Rangers who now sit at the top of the Premiership table.

The loss to Livingston last Sunday was especially surprising as the Hoops were coming off arguably their best performance of the season in midweek, when they beat CFR Cluj 2-0 in what was revenge for their earlier defeat at the hands of the Romanian champions. But a Ryan Christie red card early in the first half followed by two second half goals from Livingston was enough to hand them their first Premiership defeat of the season.

This has led to a lot of speculation in the Scottish media surrounding the 8-in-a-row Champions’ sudden loss in form. Former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United forward, Alan Brazil, has gone even as far as claiming that a possible falling out behind the scenes between Celtic manager Neil Lennon and longtime captain Scott Brown might provide a potential explaination.

Speaking on his talkSPORT show ‘The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast’, the pundit said:

"“Celtic never turned up. It’s a weird one and Rangers go top. Before I get pelters, there’s something not right.“There were too many Celtic players who were like, ‘what are we doing here on this plastic pitch?’, which is not right.“I don’t know what happened but Scott Brown came off near the end and there were no handshakes with Lenny, so I don’t know if there has been a problem or if they have had a row in the dressing room. Maybe not just Brown, or Neil Lennon, but one or two of the players, they weren’t at the races.”"

At this point this is just mere speculation with nothing to suggest that there might be any truth behind the claims. Nothing new considering Celtic’s recent domestic stumble and it won’t most probably ever be mentioned again if or when the Scottish champions return to form sooner rather than late.
