Celtic will be taken on Championship side, Partick Thistle, in the quarter finals of the Scottish League Cup. The Hoops have made a flying start to their domestic season winning all six of their League games but had surprisingly faced a struggle in the last round of the Scottish League Cup and had to rely on a 114th minute winner to edge out Dunfermline Athletic 2-1.
Partick Thistle on the other hand have struggle in the Championship and are currently in the last position. They edged out Ross County in the last round by 3-2 to set up the quarter-final clash with the Scottish Champions.
Neil Lennon has named a relatively second-string Celtic side, giving a debut to Jeremie Frimpong while bringing in a number of fringe players as well.
