Celtic survived the Europa League hangover against Aberdeen with a 2-0 victory.

Goals came from stars such as Kieran Tierney and Moussa Dembele. The win now extends Celtic’s lead in the standings to nine points over second placed Rangers.

More importantly, the schedule sees the Celts take on two opponents in Dundee and Greenock Morton; both of which are very winnable games. Two fixtures with two hopeful wins can now set up the Hoops for the derby against Rangers on Mar. 11.

The Bhoys came in with a 4-4-1-1 formation that saw the returns of Tom Rogic and Scott Sinclair to the starting lineup. On the other hand, interesting selections from Brendan Rodgers resulted in the likes of Callum McGregor, Odsonne Edouard and Charly Musonda all on the bench.

Regardless, Celtic were still able to edge out a top three opponent in rather convincing fashion, with the Celts hogging possession numbers by a 58/42 margin.

It’s a great win for now and going forward, with the Celts hopefully carrying some momentum on their shoulders with the win. There are some other talking points, so let’s get to them right now!
