The Celtic rumor mill continues to flow smoothly as HITC suggests another player that the Bhoys would snatch in this window.

This player, however, seems like a bit of a reach. Jack Harrison of the MLS side New York City FC had himself a decent young season this past year. 10 goals and 3 assists isn’t bad considering that NYCFC made the MLS Playoffs last season.

Now that the North American league is in break, the transfer market takes it’s full effect on the MLS. Players including stars such as Sebastian Giovinco have been rumored with a move away, but nothing has transpired yet.

Turns out that Harrison is on the short-list of an array of English Premier League clubs. The most notable would have to be Stoke City, as their 3.5 million pound bid was reported to have gone through.

HITC adds Harrison to their list of potential Celtic players, as their recent article suggests that Brendan Rodgers still has a chance to secure the 21-year-old. Here’s a snippet of what the publication has to say:

"He boasts a huge amount of speed on the flanks as well as plenty of trickery and ability with both feet, which allows him to play on either wing. He is equally adept at cutting inside or getting to the byline to cross.Celtic are currently lacking in options out wide, with Paddy Roberts and Jonny Hayes in the treatment room suffering from long-term injuries. It leaves just Scott Sinclair and James Forrest as options out wide.More from The Celtic BhoysCeltic handed fresh injury doubt before Feyenoord gameCeltic’s £40.7 million announcement should scare RangersBrendan Rodgers makes superb claim about returning Celtic playerBBC pundit makes sensational claim about Celtic hero KyogoKyogo Furuhashi sends clear message to Celtic doubtersThe Hoops are more than capable of affording such a price tag after their participation in the Champions League. The Hoops need cover ahead of a potential Europa League run, and that should convince Rodgers to match Stoke’s bid."

Harrison is noted to be a fantastic dribbler and a support player. It’s also true that the Bhoys need more help on the width of the pitch, but is Harrison really that realistic of an option?

The publication does an amazing job covering the Glasgow club, but this isn’t the first time they’ve just thrown a name out there for the public to bite on.

Celtic could always use more youth in the attacking areas of the pitch. Signings such as Lewis Morgan and a potential deal for Odsonne Edouard might show that Rodgers doesn’t really need to use more money in that area right now.

The boss promised one more signing before the end of the window. Harrison, though, seems very unlikely to be wearing green and white anytime soon.
