Celtic have had the run of the Scottish Premiership for the better part of the last decade here. But, with historical clubs like Hibs, Hearts and the new Sevco back in the league things could eventually get interesting.

While Celtic ran away with the league last season, it is still important to remember what is happening elsewhere in the SPFL. To that end, we’ll take a journey around the league each weekend to give you the scores, tables and drama that happens beneath the Hoops.

Round 2 is in the books and drama was the name of the game, so let’s take a look at the scores and table as it stands.

Scores:

Saturday:

  • Hamilton 3-0 Dundee
  • Kilmarnock 0-1 Hearts
  • Sevco 2-3 Hibernian
  • Ross County 1-2 Aberdeen
  • St. Johnstone 4-1 Motherwell

Table:

Yes, you are seeing that right…St. Johnstone is technically top of the table and even with Celtic and Hibs on six points. That happens thanks to St. Johnstone having bagged six goals for to Celtic’s five so far in two matches.

Don’t fret Bhoys and Ghirls — that will change quickly, or at least it should.

But, beyond that, there is plenty to take away from this weekend of action, so let’s get to the talking points from across the SPFL.
