5 American players Celtic should be targeting

Yes, the prospects of this happening are slim-to-none and both slim and none have left town. At the same time, watching Nagbe’s rise for the U.S. national team has got me slobbering all over his play once again.

Remember that crappy attacking third we saw on Wednesday against Rosenborg? Remember that both Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths are injured? Well, we talked about the need to solve a third striker problem and Nagbe certainly would do that.

Of course, this would take some hurt feelings on the part of Celtic and Nagbe towards the Timbers and MLS to subside. Don’t expect that to happen and thus, don’t expect this transfer to get going. Besides, with the emergence of Olivier Ntcham, there already is a glut of players that kind of fit the same role as Nagbe. At least he could play as the loan striker on occasion.
