2. Leigh Griffiths vs. Aberdeen

The 2016-17 season was largely one of frustration for Leigh Griffiths, as he saw his place in the Starting XI usually taken by 21-year-old wonderkid Moussa Dembele and when he did get a chance he wound up injured more than most likely. However, when Griffiths did see the field in the 2016 half of the season…let’s just say he made it count.

Griffiths’ strike in an early-season affair against the reigning second place squad, Aberdeen, could’ve easily been the goal of the season. In fact, it was a strong argument for it amongst us on staff. I mean, the brilliance of the move to beat the first defender and then to slot the ball just past another defender and inside the post is something few in the world can accomplish with the ease Griffiths did here.
