3. Sinclair’s Game Winner on New Year’s Eve

Celtic spent much of the month of December barely hanging on to an unbeaten season, so it was only right that its final match of the 2016 calendar year would be the biggest battle of the season.

It was also only right that Scott Sinclair would be the one to make sure the Bhoys went home with the full points.

Unbeaten streak? ✔️

Beating Sevco? ✔️

Scoring a brilliant team goal?  ✔️

It seriously couldn’t get more telling of just how changed Celtic are as a club than the game-winner in the 70th minute. The finish was great, but the two passes that forced Sevco’s defense to stretch were what really made the goal. Patrick Roberts’ control of the ball, perfect pass to Armstrong and Armstrong’s perfect cross in the box say it all.

Simply sensational stuff to get the win on New Year’s Eve.

There is no finer way to kick off a new year than knowing you’ve crushed the hopes and dreams of your one-time rival.
