Efe Finally Gone

Oh wait, it wasn’t a dream or a crazy rumor, Efe Ambrose is actually gone from the books of Celtic?

UPDATE: The deal with Blackburn Rovers is OFF, per The Daily Record.

It seemed as if a move to Blackburn was going to finally take Efe away from the club and lighten the load on the Celtic balance sheet. Additionally, the club would actually get something for him. Instead, the want-away defender is going on loan to Blackburn.

Selfish as he has been, it should be the expected ending to his time at Paradise.

After three straight transfer windows in which Ambrose flat-out said N-O to transfers away from the club outside of the U.K., he did it for a fourth straight time unbelievably. Rather than make the move permanent, he’ll just wait it out and give nothing back to the club in the end.

There are plenty of Celtic supporters popping bottles to have his wages finally off the books, but not so happy to have nothing in return for the investment they made in him.

After all, there are few who started brighter and flamed out quicker than Ambrose has done at Celtic Park.
