Kieran Tierney to Sunderland

I get it, the English Premiership strugglers need some help in the most desperate way, but is Celtic really going to finish off a potentially historic campaign without arguably its best overall player?

Well, the Express tipped Sunderland to put in a £10 million bid for the young left back. Apparently the Black Cats had sent scouts to check out the game on Sunday, with Tierney returning to the starting lineup and playing perhaps his best overall match of the season.

The thought process goes like this according to the Express:

"Sunderland and Premier League rivals Crystal Palace both sent senior scouts to Parkhead yesterday specifically to run the rule over Tierney. The Black Cats’ need is more urgent as they are on the verge of selling left-back Patrick van Aanholt to Palace for £14m."

I find it hard to believe that Tierney won’t be more sellable by the end of the season than he is now. Besides, if other rumored interest from the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and other big clubs is true, than the Hoops board is likely to have a nice little bidding war on its hands this summer.

Tierney won’t be in the Hoops for much longer, but you can bet there was no more ridiculous rumor than his exit for a relegation-bound side like Sunderland.
