Celtic Predicted XI vs Motherwell: Postecoglou’s big decisions
Defence, Midfield and Attack
Josip Juranovic
Osaze Urhoghide put in a very good performance against Real Betis in midweek. But Juranovic should be back in the starting XI, at right-back, against Motherwell.
Cameron Carter-Vickers
Carter-Vickers has been a regular in the heart of defence for Celtic ever since arriving in the summer on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur. And he should return to his place after a midweek rest.
Carl Starfelt
Starfelt has been an absolute standout for Celtic this season, after some early season struggles. And his recent return from injury has been a huge boost for the Hoops to say the least.
Greg Taylor
There is a case to be made for Liam Scales here after an excellent performance against Real Betis but Postecoglou might stick with the tried and tested Taylor on this occasion while gradually increasing the former Shamrock Rovers star’s playing time.
Nir Bitton
With a lack of options up top, Postecoglou might have to increase his numbers in the middle of the park or play one of his midfielders on the wings or at striker. Either way, expect Bitton in the starting XI.

Callum McGregor
The Celtic captain has been Mr Consistent once again this season and will be expected to line up against Motherwell.
Tom Rogic
Rogic’s recent return from injury has been another boost for the Hoops as he has been brilliant ever since the appointment of Postecoglou as manager.
David Turnbull
Turnbull has played a lot of football for the Hoops this season and that run is expected to continue against Motherwell.
Liel Abada
Many believe that Abada could be the one to carry the goalscoring burden for Celtic in the absence of both Kyogo and Jota. He has not been in great scoring touch in recent months though.
Mikey Johnston
Another player who might need to step up over the upcoming games is Johnston. This might be a huge chance for him to get his Parkhead career back on track.
