Celtic’s injury troubles continue as it has been confirmed that the star will be out of action for a few more weeks.
Celtic have had some terrible luck over the last few weeks. While players have been out nursing injuries like every other season, the international break in the middle of a global pandemic has thrown a curve ball that the club were not prepared for.
The headlines were dominated by the several players who tested positive for the virus or came in contact with those who had and as a result were ruled out of the Glasgow Derby. What followed was a terrible performance against Steven Gerrard’s side that has raised questions about Neil Lennon’s future at the club once again.
One man who has been out for quite some time though is Christopher Jullien. While the exact nature of his injury has never been explained, it has been though to be a back injury. And it looks like the Frenchman’s injury struggles are set to continue for quite some time.

While he has had his critics since joining Celtic, it is clear that the team have missed him in his absence. Most of the criticism he gets appears to be unfair and on his day, he is a super solid defender with a penchant for coming up good on the other end of the pitch as well.
Just look at his goal against the Rangers in the Scottish League Cup final last season or his performances against Lazio in the Europa League. He is a player that brings a lot to the table.
Last time he played was over a month ago on September 12th in a 5-0 win against Ross County. As the Hoops kick off their campaign against AC Milan tonight, they will be unfortunately without the services of Jullien. But we can only hope that he recovers from this injury quickly and returns to action as soon as possible.
