Jordan Ibe

This guy has been on all sorts of rumour lists for a while now. And he’ll be doing the rumour mill tour for a while now his Bournemouth contract is not being renewed when it expires later this month. Signed from Liverpool in 2016 for £16 million he’s not really repaid that investment. And he’s just been in trouble with the club for getting a haircut during lockdown. So a bit of a bad boy, but well presented probably!

In conversations the Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe doesn’t see Ibe being back in favour any time soon there. He’s only played two first team games there in the last season.

There’s a talent there for sure and a winger on top form taking the defence apart will be a favourite at Celtic quickly enough if they can do it on the pitch.  The Hoops haven’t shied away at signing players struggling at previous clubs and getting them back on form. And some players with a reputation were superb on the pitch.

But at the wrong price and wages it could be too much of a risk. If Neil Lennon and the coaching team can help and support his talent, then Celtic park and our style of play could well be the ideal place to unleash it again. He’s a maybe but worth further discussions.
