Celtic star forced to have surgery after Rangers game

After a devastating loss to Rangers last Sunday, the bad news continues to pile up as a Celtic superstar is set to miss extended time.

Injury and despair continue to grow after a crushing 2-1 defeat to Rangers in a Scottish Premiership League clash last Sunday. With a game in hand, Rangers now have the possibility to take over the league table, and Celtic can nothing about it.

Reports of racial abuse, and Ryan Christie attacking Alfredo Morelos are starting to roll out, allowing the press to pounce on anything negative regarding the Hoops. It is all very convenient after Rangers stars Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent made throat-slitting and gun violence gestures to the Hoops fans in the crowd.

As if it cannot get any worse, the reason for Leigh Griffiths arrival onto the pitch last Sunday with ten-minutes left to go was revealed. Ryan Christie suffered a major injury that required immediate and emergency surgery after the match.

According to the Daily Mail, Ryan Christie was rushed to the hospital to have surgery on his groin. The extent and the severity are unknown at the time, but it was serious enough to have surgery on.

The Hoops will be flying out to Dubai for a week during the winter break for training. They will not return to action until January 18th, which should allow multiple players time to recover from injuries, and for the press to cool down on all things anti-Celtic.

The break is coming at just the right time for this club. Hopefully additions to the first team will be made, and not just reserve players added. With any luck, the Hoops will return fully healthy, and completely locked and loaded to make a run at the Europa League title as well as the domestic title come 2020.
