Celtic have received a huge injury boost as one of their key players has hinted at a return from injury heading into next Sunday’s League Cup final vs Rangers.
Celtic’s injury struggles have been well documented this season. The fact that they are being forced to deploy left-winger, Lewis Morgan, at striker should tell you a lot about the lack of options available to Neil Lennon at the moment.
But there is some good news for Celtic fans on the injury front as Boli Bolingoli has hinted at a return on social media heading into next week’s League Cup final vs Rangers. The Belgian had made the left-back position his own before getting hurt. Since then Jonny Hayes had filled in for Bolingoli but now the Irishman is injured as well.
As a result, Greg Taylor is the only option remaining at left-back right now for the Hoops. And in the few appearances he has made, the Scot has not been entirely convincing. And even more importantly, he is cup-tied which means he will not feature against Rangers anyway. Thus, a Bolingoli comeback before the big game next Sunday would be a huge boost for Neil Lennon’s side.
Bolingoli posted a picture of himself on his Instagram, with a hourglass and a four leaf clover emoji:
If Bolingoli fails to return then Hoops fans will be hoping for Hayes to return in time from his own injury. Or we might end up seeing the horrific image of McGregor at left-back once again. Although Bolingoli decided to post the picture so close to the final must mean that he himself is hoping to be back in time to feature in his first final in Celtic colours.
At this point Hatem Abd Elhamed and Vakoun Issouf Bayo are confirmed to be out for the game vs Rangers through injury while Greg Taylor misses out due to being cup-tied.
